Hi all

Anybody ever came across a MP C2800 were the display has went faulty in the middle, and now wont boot up, says please wait unplugged the hard drive same fault, i think its the keyboard ??

The usual problem with that model is the smoke gets out of the tiny chips on the polygon mirror motor and short down the 24v line. If your unlucky they've fried the BICU as well. If your really unlucky the ops panel has been toasted also. And if the photocopier gods really have it in for you a new PSU might be on the cards as well.

Start with unplugging the laser unit and see if the panel comes good. It would be a good move to replace the poly mirror motor anyway the failure rate is high and new upspecced ones are cheap.
