    Ricoh Aficio MP 201spf wrong firmware

    I have installed wrong firmware on Ricoh Aficio MP201spf.Now it shows SC 670. Is there a way to rollback the firmware or fix it ?

      What firmware did you install?
      It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

          You can try to install the correct firmware to remedy. If not, you are looking at controller/board replacement depending upon what you were updating.

              Unfortunately not
              Ricoh had to change chip suppliers at some point during manufacturing of that model
              you must match the version of firmware to right board

              A new engine board and firmware have been applied, as a different type of CPU had to be used on engine PCBs (BICUs) due to the earthquake and tsunami disaster in the Tohoku region of Japan on March 11, 2011.

              IMPORTANT:
              Do not install this firmware on boards that already contain an older version of the firmware. Older versions begin with "0" (Ex., v0.0.8:**).
              If you install the old firmware on the new engine board by mistake, the new engine board will be damaged and will have to be replaced.

                  well i install Ricoh Aficio MP201spf fimware but there were two engines. I did't know that I should not install the right one. There was one D1155530A installed on the machine.
