    A700 to A551

    Hi guys,
does anybody knows how machine can see speed of her work.
Well: Aficio 700 , replace everything (PCU, Main bord, BICU, Scann, everything from Aficio 551) but it stays still A700 ! I count they have
    70ppm.

      The nv ram i guess?

      Theres the plug and play

5-907 Plug & Play (Brand Name and Production Name Setting)
Selects the brand name and the production
name for Windows 95 Plug & Play. This
information is stored in the NVRAM. If the
NVRAM is defective, these names should
      be registered again.
      times.

Also the speed of the DF sp

      6-020 ADF Speed Adjustment
When the customer points out noise form
the ADF, use this to adjust the ADF speed
      to low.
      High speed:
      70 cpm
      Low Speed:
      55 cpm

Some older models you had a dip switch on the Io board but if its come out of a AF551 i guess its set to 551 speed.

          Yes, I know that
I read the manual but what is "Original Type" key in 5-907?

I know many techs would swap over the nv ram when swapping boards by instinct.

            Just a thought/suggestion.
