Ricoh AF 3350 - Printing Priority

Hey guys, is there a way on this machine to prioritize print jobs and hold rcvd fax jobs until print jobs are finished? Customer is complaining that in the middle of a print job, they will get a fax and it will print out during the fax job and get mixed up.

    Thanks

Do you mean the Aficio MP 3350?

You can always set function priority and print priority to Printer, see the Operations Manual.

Better yet, if it has a finisher, set fax to inner tray and print and copy to one of the finisher trays. If it does not have a finisher, install the 1 bin tray option and use it for faxes.

Nothing works quite so well that I can't totally disable it by trying to make it a little better.

I like the idea of not printing until all pages are received.

There are a lot of times that one or more pages take quite a while to receive, and the rest are relatively fast. That will happen if there are graphics or half tones on the page. Not to mention line issues and other reception problems.

When this happens, it's very easy for a user to just grab the pages that had printed, and leave the rest behind, thinking the transmission was complete.

I like it too, so much so that we put this change into our pre-flight, so all machines that we prep go out set this way.
