After a quick check of the parts catalogs and service manuals i would say NO. Different part number for complete unit, hot roller and pressure roller. Mount screw locations for the front and rear covers are different. Front and rear side plates are shaped different.
I have swaped fuser units 3030 with 1027 and v.v.
Problems did only show up after a few months.
When i finally realised it was due to swapping, the only thing to do was to put a new F.U. in it!
Afterwards i noticed it was solved by replacing the connector only...
Meanwhile you're in a nasty kind of (expencive) trouble...
Tried the fuser today, first thing I found was there is a locating pin on the machine that slips into a slot on the bottom cover of the fuser, these covers can be swapped and the fuser will slip into place but the 4501/5501 fuser has an extra thermistor so I chose not to power it up. The difference in fusing rollers is possibly the coating. The 4000/5000 roller is rated for 250k and the 4501/5501 is 300K. The bearings have different part #s but are exactly the same, all parts fit each unit.
