Login to the machine using the Supervisor account, (Username :supervisor Password: null) from here you can access user tools, system settings, administrator tools, program/change administrator. If you change the Supervisors account make sure you have backed the info up.. it can't be recovered.

If this is a machine with no username and "password" as default this should do it (but try the supervisor trick first):

!!Don't forget to print out a printer config page because you'll loose the network settings after executing this SP!!

        SP 5-801-011

No - you don't need a new NVRAM and even if, I would prefer tu use a prommer to erase the existing one. That works fine for every machine with "classic style" NV Rams (with or without lithium battery). Unfortunately it's going to be more tricky with the state of the art generation because they have these SMD NVRams soldered on a PCB with a non standard connector.

Just try to delete the whole NCS Settings with SP 5-801-011

              Also interesting: SP 5-828-74

Access Code reset for Aficio 2045 series

Replacing the NVRAM or performing SP 5801 should do the trick but I would suggest trying SP Mode 5828-74 first, this will delete the NCS password withouth clearing the rest of the NCS settings and it will reset the Telnet, WSM and Rom update passwords to default. (NULL/Blank). This does not clear the access code password (Key operator code) which can be achieved by using SP mode 7810.
