    Af 3260 sc142

    Hi Guys

    I have a AF3260 color copier with sc142
    White level detection error

    Possible causes:

    Exposure lamp defective
    Harness dosconnected, damaged
    Dirty exposure glass, optics
    Scanner motor defective
    SBU board defective

When i switch the machine on, the lamp will flash once, go to home position, go to white shading position and then go into the SC code.

We do not gave lamps, SBU board or lamp regulators in stock and will have to order from Holland. Which will take at least a week.

I just want to make sure i order the right parts and do not waste a lot of time and money.

    Any ideas?

It sounds like a flaky board. Try all of your output checks to verify proper operation.

I'm guessing that these machines also have the 2-xxx internal test prints to test various boards.

Found the problem. The lamp regulator (The board the lamp plugs into. Can not recall the proper name now.) had 4 resistors blown. R153, R105, R106, and R107.

Do anyone know what their values are?

Hmmm.... sounds like more than the regulator board.
The only thing that plugs into this is the lamp and the connector to the SIOB.
Makes me wonder about the lamp harness and other wiring.

          Hi

Replaced the lamp and the lamp regulator, and the machine is now working fine.
