ricoh aficio mp w2401 SC899 code

    hi everybody

i got the SC899 on Ricoh aficio mp W2401 and i could not solve it

i tried to clear print jobs
    removed the network cable
i executed SC reset in SP mode

with no luck , while searching for any other causes of this issue i found that it could be a controller board in worst case scenario or it could be solved with a firmware upgrade ,

have you ever faced this error and solved it ?
can anyone help me the firmware of this machine to try the last solution i got

    i appreciate any suggestions
    thank you

Is there a print job that is trying to print when it throws the code ?

Is a hard disk option present? I have seen SC899 occur when the HDD becomes corrupted.

Updating the firmware will resolve this issue, in every case, in my experience.
Nothing works quite so well that I can't totally disable it by trying to make it a little better.

that's what i did eventually changing the hard disk thanks for your advice zed255

first i uninstalled it and powered the machine on and the problem was gone so i changed it

one thing that i didn't test is just to format the old hard disk and see is it going to solve the problem

              thanks everybody for your suggestions

Often formatting is not enough, you need to 'Zero Fill' the disk. HDDs that end up corrupted are almost always usable after zeroing them. I have had very few true disk failures.
