SP3510SF and lack of colour scanner ????

Hi,
I have met piece of SP3510SF without colour scanner mode and 200x200 resolution only. I mean that only 200x200 and mono .tif can be selected in the adress book.

Strange for me because every marketing datasheet tells that machine can scan in colour up to 1200x1200 dpi.

I know that some memory clearing was made via service mode. I suspect some brand/area issues but in the service manual there is no details.

Can anyone help me?

Like you see on screen shot attached the controller version is 2.08N1


That N1 suffix made me suspicious. I tried to update controller firmware via USB and network onto v2.10 but every time I get "file is corrupted". I have found that it means that checksums are invalid but I have legal firmware. I have found in service mode that it is possible to force controller firmware update via USB only. I did it and v2.10 was downloaded succesfully this time.

I thing that v2.08N1 was some customized firmware
