Copy quality on c2002 or LED lamp models

    Hey everyone,

Wondering if anyone knows a way to get a better copy off of the MP c2002/c2502 models or any of the newer ones with the LED lamp. For some reason on these color models i get a lot of fading or whitish areas on the copies. Running acc from user tools on the old halogen lamp models usually corrected this pretty well after cleaning the mirrors and such, seems like on these LED ones especially the slower speed models I can get the copies to darken up for nothing. I just pm'd a c2002 and cleaned all the optics and still get copies that just arent as dark or have some white splotchyness to them, they look like copies made on a overdue MP4002 machine.

Are there any lamp adjustments for brightness that can be made to get a better quality copy on the LED scanners.

Am I being monumentally dim, MPC2002?
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

    Hit it.

Agree the new mpc stuff I find a bit patchy on solids. I did find cleaning ID sensors & setting up the old way of sp2113 x2, sp2111-1, sp3011 (normal), sps3011(full) helped bring my solids back in on a mettis.

On any of the 03s you need to run Auto Color Calibration in User Tools before delivering a new unit and anytime you update firmware. Ricoh USA used to have an information notice out a year or more ago on this.

I ran that but didnt help, i got used to doing that on the last gen models the copies would always get light so pretty much every visit i ran the acc and cleaned the id sensors, on this one though it did nothing it was still pretty washed out looking.
