Ricoh aficio mp1600 how to set photo mode as default

The machine copies in TEXT mode right from turning it on, problem is that copies come out very dark, (I have changed Drum, Developer, Charge roller, blade and oem toner), optics and laser are clean, machines is clean now.

I'm pressured to deliver this machine later today and is still very dark (to customer standars), I have checked all HV values and they're correct, I don't want to move anything there as in the past I got little dots on drum for doing so,

I have noticed that if the machine if used in PHOTO mode the copies come out clean and nice, the problem is that this brand doesn't allow to prioritize (put as standard or default) the PHOTO mode.

Any ideas on this are welcomed.

did you check the developer bias.

This is probably way too late, sorry about that.
Still, if that problem only occurs when copying or scanning, see if there are any "gamma" adjustments in service mode. I usually find them near the end of SP4.
I've only used that on color boxes where the prints looked good but the copies looked light though, and I'm not sure if your machine has that adjustment.

The main difference between TEXT and PHOTO mode that TEXT mode is higher contrast. If it darker than a certain level on the grey scale then it is considered black. Anything lighter is white. I have never had a customer complain about copies being too dark, other than back ground. Mine usually complain about it being too light if not in TEXT mode.
