    Pro C 5100 issues

    Hi everyone,

    Iv got problems with a pro c5100 machine. I have recently replaced the transfer belt and sensor assembly. After replacement i have done the procedures shown in service manual, but have had no success. The colour registration is all off, and even doing auto colour reg calibration fails, and all other calibration setgings fail within service mode. Also every now and then I get a sc285-00 code.

    Any support would be great.

    I had a similar issue on a Proc5110 found that when I cut the tie band on a two wire jumper between the pcb's in the transfer belt assy the issue went away.

      Hi. Tried cutting the tie for that wire but still no luck. Im getting really bad colour reg issues

                        I was having a registration issue a couple weeks ago. No matter what i did the machine didnt respond. I finally said F it and tried doing a Memory Clear...registration was perfect after that. You will have to fix the D2 jam and initialize the fiery in SP mode

                          OK did you do registration set up in user tools
                          Sensors must be clean
                          Also are the colours solid on the transfer belt when stopped on run
                          With out looking in manual I THINK it's sp2111 start with D, C, B, A start with D finish with A twice

                          Please don't do memory all clear unless it's a must and if do please back up nvram 1st or you have a long job in putting sp settings make sure you have a copy of the factory sp settings

                            Checked pattern and all is well. The magenta is on the screw by about a 1.5mm from top to bottom, changed the whole PCU as mentioned, done Force Line adjustment and it fails on C and D only. I guess it must be the laser unit but its such a big job

                            Just quickly, am I right to say the only skew adjustment for the colours is SP2104?

                            Oh I did have to reset the memory but uploaded the memory first for settings, but not uploaded them back yet as I know the sensor setting and need to get it working right. It did give me a colour registration confirmation once I had done that but still at an angle for the magenta and fail on C and D.

                            If there is another adjustment on the skew that would be great to know as I am lost now :-)

                              Hi Tim ive had failed before start on D if fails come out service mode then go into printer service mode do colour test print go back into service and try D again i had one I done rhis 3 times then it came back in line then c and so on
