MPC2003 keeps asking for toner K

Hi,

This machine keeps asking for toner K. Tried several new toner cartridges.
I know there was an issue with the toner pump on the MPC2800-C4000 model.
But, there's no toner pump here, probably the toner bottle motor or the toner supply motor.

Anyone seen this problem on an Metis/MPC2003 yet ?

you need open the front door and cheat the door switch and see how much the bottle turns. If it only turns once or never at all, check the toner sub hopper
(it's in the rear of the machine). If the sub hopper is packed full the auger in the sub hopper is probably broken. you have to replace the sub hopper as a unit. Just did this yesterday after one of my techs replaced the DV unit for this issue to no avail.....................
