When 8 1/2x11 paper is loaded LEF for copying it is being detected as 11x17. Tried setting default size in user tools, worked briefly then went back to detecting as 11x17. Overriding with the # key at the time of running the job works but the customer does not wish to do that, it is a High School office and most of the faculty need to use it. SP 5803-024 does not change when the sensor arm is depressed, bit 0 stays at 1. I have tried replacing the but no change. I am going to order the cable that goes to it tomorrow. Anyone else with any suggestions?

Yes that's common for the harness to break for the bypass, try to encourage them to leave it open all the time

Replaced the cable yesterday and that took care of the problem.

I had to replace the hole door on one of these there is a TSB i think regarding the doors plastic cover being redesigned so that harness isnt pinched. Not fun.

The bulletin that I saw had to do with duplex door and the cover over the bypass feed roller. The machine I was working on was manufactured after the cut in date for the updated parts being installed in production.
