    Ricoh MP-C2500 Toner adding problem

Just like normal, the machine calls for toner(black). My customer adds toner(black),
the machine goes through the motions and at the end instead of coming to ready it
still says "no toner, black" then flashes "replace black toner"
I had my customer pull out and reinstall the toner. and open and close the front door
letting it run its cycle each time. Still the same message.
I go there and cheat the door and I can see the toner bottle turning as it should.
I inspected the opening where the toner is supposed to come out and I even pushed it
open and turned the bottle, outside of the machine and toner does come out.
So I'm convinced the toner is ok, mechanically at least. If I leave the toner out of the machine
and close the door, it indicates that the toner cartridge is not in, as it should.
I noticed the black toner is installed to the far left of the machine, but the black drum/developer unit is located to the far right.
I'm guessing there is a long tube that feeds the toner all the way over to the right and I'm wondering if it is common on this machine
for that long tube to get clogged and not deliver the toner to the drum/dev unit.
I don't normally work on many ricoh color machines, so I was hoping for some advice on what to check and how to check it to get this resolved
I do not have a service manual for getting into service mode, to test toner feed motors from the toner cartridge to the drum/dev unit etc.
but I at least know the motor that turns the toner cartridge is working.
    help!

You may like to search Copytechnet.com for "toner pump".

The black toner pump is most likely the cause of the problem. Replace the black toner pump.

Thanks for the help. I did search "toner pump" and yes found many topics on different machines that the toner pump is probably the fix
I checked at precision roller and saw a picture of the toner pump with the tube attached to it. that helps to know what it looks like.
Does anyone have instruction pages on where the pump is located on the machine, how to get to it and replace it or do I need to find the manual online somewhere else?
How tough can it be to replace on this model?

          EASY.
It's right behind the PCU. Remove K- PCU/Transfer belt unit (and maybe another PCU or 2, to give you some extra elbow room). 2 screws, 1 connector, and hose.
Not generally necessary to replace the hose, but doesn't hurt to vacuum it out.
Easily done in under 15 minutes

It is all in the service manual.
