    af 1022

crack sound . It looks that it comes from the gears that transfer movement to the fuser gear. I checked that gears and they are ok (no broken etc) Also they turn with no problem ( i turned them throgh main motor. It is not the fuser unit , i checked it also it tried with an other fuser unit and the crack soun remains. Any idea?

Are the bearings on the heat tube and press rollers lubed? I've heard a lot of these boxes creak when the bearings begin to wear or the grease begins to dry out.

He did say he tried another fuser, but who knows where that one came from and how long it had been sitting around.
It sure would be helpful to know if it passes paper and/or what the copy quality looks like?
I'm leaning towards PCU, but I'm a long way from Greece, so I can't say for sure

If it sounds like a coffee percolator, it is the fusing unit bearings. Get some high temperature grease.

Have seen lots of these, you may need new (greased ) bearings. Also check how the bearings set in the unit, many times the plastic breaks out causing improper alignment of the hot roller gear and the copier side gear.
I have use 450 upper bearings with the ring on the bearing, cut 1/3 of the bearing ring off, and the ring then secures itself on the metal frame instead of needing a plastic frame.
