I replaced the end thermistor on a Ricoh Aficio 1045 after noticing that the temperature was not rising above 70 degrees. After I replaced it I noticed that the temperature for the end thermistor was only registering at 102 degrees and wouldn't go any higher. I ended up cleaning the power source PCB connections after finding toner in that area. This didn't help with the temperature issue. I pulled both items to try in another copier. Any other suggestions for solving this problem? Thank you for any help given.

Try to replace the centre thermistor and check the heater lamp also .. -

Check the thermostat at the front end of the fusing unit and the lamp connected to it.Comment

1) this thread is at least 5 years old.. we call them dead after 2 years
2) it is a different model
3) you never stated the error code
4) how do you know the lamp is defective?
5) what is the power in your house? 110v or 240v?
6) start your own new thread stating: Model #... error code... what you have tried
