    mpc2050 jams at power on

    Hello,
    Also indicates - while copy-ing and all of a sudden - "replace toner bottle 2"...
    which I did, but it won't help.
    The power supply has been cut off for about al least 10 times while printing...
    Could that be a cause because the power supply could be damaged?

      Sounds like whatever sensor the cleaning unit/WTB #2 is supposed to trip when it's installed into the machine is either broken or knocked out of place. In the faster mid-volume machines you would get this same thing with the bridge unit; the connector pins for the interlock switches would get dirty and trip a false door open as paper moved through the bridge unit.

          If this machine has a finisher attached to it, replace the cover switches on the bridge unit nad update the firmware to the most recent.

              There is no bridge unit, no internal finisher. When the display says "replace toner bottle" it jams (at power on) at the same time.

                  The front waste tank set switch has failed. AW50 0023.
                  It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

                      Have you replaced or emptied the "waste toner bottle 2"? It is the one on end of the C2050 to your left as you look at the front of the machine. Two screws to open the cover door. Two screws to remove the ITB/WTB2 assembly. As soon as it detects the full condition it is going to stop and it there is paper running through it, you will get a jam indication.

                          Make sure the waste toner auger in the ITB cleaning unit isn't binding, otherwise it will activate the WTB2 full switch.

                              Slimslob, I have replaced the whole bottle with a new one, doesn't help.
                              Strange is that it suddenly jams (you can actually hear a click from ???) and indicates for a short while that the bottle is full.
                              After that the message disappear ...
                              As I mentioned before this machine is located on a construction site, where the power has been cut off several times.
                              Could that be a cause?

                                      I do have replaced the TCB bottle number 2 by a new one, and the problem remains...

                                          Try setting SP3-902-17 to 1 and restart. This is the manual new unit set for ITB cleaning unit (waste toner #2).
