Hi,

Got a question on SP8601 in service mode.
On most Ricoh copiers SP8601 says "coverage counter"
But what does it mean, is it the total counter?
and why is it in percentages ?

Percentage of surface covered with toner. Normal yield of a toner cartridge is based on a 5% coverage.

OK,
So it is not the excual counter of the engine.
Can you read out the real counter even when the engine is cleared by a RAM zero counter?

Many machines have a mechanical lease counter.
