[Error Code] Savin 4018d "Senders name is not selected" when trying to scan to email

The customer will select the name of the person who scan goes to and when they hit start, it comes up with the message "senders name is not selected" when, in fact, the name is selected... I am not a great network guy... Any help is very appreciated... THANKS !!

Go into system settings,interface then admin email.Put a name in there (any name @domain).You won't have to select a sender after this

The Machine always need a Sender to authenticate at you email server, if you dont input a default Sender at the user profile, the Machine uses the default email option in configuration, if did not put this informativo, the Machine ask for it at thr scanner screen, the best option is to log at webpage, go toconfiguration, then click at email, put the email server option like, address,comunicatikn port, authenticated user, and the Machine always use this Sender to Sender emails.

Sorry don't recognize the model but, can't you go to user tools- system settings- file transfer- last page- auto specify sender and set it to on? Won't this use the machine name as the sender?

You still need the admin email as well, that's who it uses as the sender when you have auto specify sender turned on.

Two options:

1. Input an email address as the administrator email and select to use the administrator as the default sender. This will be seen as the reply to email.
2. Enter each email user in the address book. Check to use as both sender and destination. By default address book email entries are used as destination only. In the email function there will be a button for sender. If no address are set to use as sender this will be greyed out. Each user can then select themselves as sender. If user authentication is used scan function, the email address of the user code entered will be use if it is set to use as sender.

One other thing. If sending to an email account with Yahoo, AOL, and a number of other email providers, the domain used for SMTP and the domain of the sender must be the same, i.e. name@company.com, or the email will be bounced as potential spam.
