Never played with TWAIN drivers on Ethernet that much, mainly on USB.
Something to try:
1. Enter a fixed IP or host name in the app setting if using on a different subnet.
2. Make sure the twain application has access both directions through the firewall for PUSH-PULL scanning.
3. Check that port 443 : Web HTTPS is open for html web browser interface.

If you are talking about different subnets of a corporate network, it should work as long as subnet masks and router (gateway) are correct. If you can ping from both ends then it should work.Comment
