    Ricoh MPc4501 exit section wrap

Have an issue with a MPC4501. I have had this happen a couple of times and only on the C4501/5501. The paper wraps around the roller in the exit section above the fuser. I believe it is because of paper curl but do not know how to correct. Has anyone seen this? Any fixes?

The exit units do wear about 750k if the customer is using really shit paper, I just replace them. The gears and bushings get sticky, gum up, then shred themselves.

It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

    Hit it.

Uggggh yes i have had this problem happen to me several times...it was a pain to get the piece of paper out of there until i learned just to turn the wheels in the opposite direction (duh). Anyways, the way i have resolved this was by replacing the sponge roller. That roller seems to wear out and is cheaper than replacing the whole thing
