[Misc] Names of scan to email jobs Ricoh MPC3002

    Hi.

On Ricoh MPC 3002, a typical scan filename when scanning to email, is: "201607261208.pdf", while on 2800/4501/3003, it's "20160726120832652.pdf"

If you scan 2 or more files inside the same minute, the names will all be similar on a 3002... Is there a way to change this?

If you scan to folder more than one doc in the same minute the first has date and time, the second adds "-1", the third "-2", etc.

When you scan to email they are separate emails and I would think the customer would want to name them before the scan goes thru to their email...

You can stop the date and time from being added to a file name if you want....Scan sp 1015

When on the scan function screen, press the file type/name button and enter a name.

Bet that's what his customer comes back with.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

        Hit it.

Because the machine does not know what you want the file named.

Add GlobalScan NX (server or serverless) , and that problem can go away.

Agreed, but unfortunately 99.6% of all customers are fucking cretins.
