MP C2000, LD425c Tray 1 feed clutch part no.

Got the darn parts PDF right here in front of me and can't tell which clutch is the correct one.
Looking at AX20 0289 as the probable part number. Says there's 2 per assy.

I'm having jamming problems out of tray 1...replaced feed and pickup rolls.
Seems the clutch is the next thing to try.
I ran 100 out of tray 1 yesterday after installing new feed and pickup rolls...ran great for me then.
Customer called this morning and said "it's doing the same thing".

Are there 2 clutches per feed assy.?
Seems like in years past I had to replace 2 clutches per tray.

    Thanks for the help.

Only one feed clutch per feed station. Just looked at the parts catalogue and it's in the right place and around the right part number for a feed clutch.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

    Hit it.

I appreciate your reply. But I need a definitive answer on that part number. I'm a bit nervous to order on a reply of "it's in the right place and around the right part number".

If some one could confirm my part no. from above is the correct part I'm after...that would be great.

Again TonerMunkeh thanks for the reply I just need to be "more" sure.

those clutches are notorious for failing I would replace all the feed clutches and relay clutches and the reg clutch at the same time (They have been modified) if its a MP2000 not a MPC which I've never heard of that part number looks good

What the part catalog means is that there are 2 in that section of the drive. 1 for each feed station X 2 feed stations = 2 clutches.

For what it is worth, this sounds more like a bad paper problem.
On the other hand, if any of the clutches in the feed area have the red dust of death around them, if you could share a picture I'm sure someone here could provide the absolute correct part number.

I agree with bad one way bearings. they fail a lot more than the clutches ever do.

Ok, so I skipped the electro-clutch replacement and just removed the feed assy. (I had never removed the feed assy, wanted to see how to do it).
That gave me better access to the one way clutch, and the shaft it's on, behind the feed roll. Removed it and used a swab to clean out the roller bearings, ever so lightly lubed and used some 2000 grit to lightly clean up the shaft. It's been 2 weeks (approx) and haven't heard a word from the customer, plus she sent me a check!

Just last Friday I used this same procedure on an MP 3352.

Thanks to each of you for your thoughts.
I enjoy learning from each of you!
