Gestetner P7535n shows paper jam in internal path, but there's no paper inside

    Hi guys,

An error is continuously shown in this model saying that there is a paper jam in internal path. However, I don't see any piece of paper in any of the paper paths. I've checked the front cover, the upper cover, the back cover. I've also extracted the toner to confirm that there isn't any piece of paper inside. And the main tray does not contain any paper jam.

We've tried to use the bypass tray but the error persists.

I'm novice in this model, so I've decided to ask for support before making a mistake.

Any help is appreciated to solve this issue.

    Kind Regards

You have a small scrap of paper hung on a sensor, a sensor arm stuck or knocked loose or a bad sensor. Use SP 5803 to determine which sensor is not correct. One other possibility is a bad door open sensor. If the machine does not see the door opened and closed, the jam will not be cleared.

I have executed the SP 5803 and these are the sensors with value different than zero:
      - IN6: Duplex Set: 1
      - IN7: Fusing Set: 1
      - IN21: PinBypass: 1 (which correctly changes to 0 when I load paper in the Bypass tray)
      - IN23: Tray1 Size: 1 (which correctly changes to 3 when I roll the wheel to A4 horizontal)

The rest of values in SP 5803 appear as zero.

Apart from that, I've changed the toner, the duplex unit and the main tray, but the error persists.

Could you have an idea about the origin of the issue with this info?

      Kind Regards

Check that all door sensors toggle correctly when the door is opened and closed.

Does it attempt to feed like its going to print something then just jam, I believe if you take off the left side panel there is a solenoid that operates both the bypass and tray feed systems, it tends to go out or get stuck causing paper jam right away before paper can feed.
