    [Misc] Ricoh PRO C5100

    Good Afternoon,

    Could someone please shed some light on a small issue i am having.
    On the PRO series of Ricoh machines what percentage is the calculation for yields set at.

    for example we all know on avarage mid range business machines are calculated at 5%.
    reason being i have one of these running on 80% banners 300x600 with roughly 75% coverage and my developers are starting to leave dirty backgrouds
    machine has roughly 300k FC developers set at 600K Yield

      PM cycle for the Photo-conductor units is 300K. If you are near 300K on the color PCUs I would suggest that you do so soon. If the lube bars wear too far they will trip the lube bar wear sensors and the machine will shut down until they are replaced.

      While waiting for the parts, check the PCUs and if there is a build up of toner and lubricant between the cleaning blade and spreader blade, it can cause background. Until they are PMed it will keep coming back.

          The OPC drums have a PM cycle of 1200K so its quite obvious its not from the opc
          cleaning unit and charge units have been changed.

              The drums yes but what about the cleaning blade, lube bar, spreading blade, etc. According to the PSG they have a PM cycle of 300K. If you do not do your 300K PM, you are asking for image problems and premature failure of drums.
