af 1022 scanner

I used desktop bindef light yo scan with this machine. When customer upgradedc from XP to win 10 program doesn't work. I tried to find a version for win 10 in internet with no result. Can anybody propose a free scanning program for win 10?

i use scsn to pdf with the twain drivers,
downloaded it from piratebay or some torrent site ..o imaging was the parent company..
if you cany find it let me know

Desktop Binder, ScanRouter, and all of the old pre-SMB enabled model middleware has been discontinued for some time now. You may be able to install the TWAIN driver and use either a full version of Acrobat to scan to PDF, or something like IrfanView to scan to an image. Barring that, scan to email may be your best option for any long term support outside of upgrading to an MP 2550 or higher model.

I have clients who keep an old XP system on the network somewhere , just to host scan router. They stick it in a closet, leave it on 24 - 7 and scan router works like a champ.
Lots of computer guys around who will give you an old XP box, can't upgrade them so they are trash to them.

With all due respect, it's trash to them for good reason.

Since XP is no longer supported by Microsoft, it is an open door for all kinds of really bad things to get in and infect the entire network.

The line "It's not on the Internet, it's only local" means next to nothing.

I would think any XP machine on a network would be an instant big red flag for any sort of security audit.

That used to be a good workaround, before updates stopped coming out for XP and the world was slowly moving to Windows 7. Corporate America basically skipped Vista.

Here is the fix: Put a twenty dollar bill inside the front door on the af1022, take it to the lake and throw it in. When someone finds the copier in the lake, they will find and have twenty dollars. UPGRADE THAT THING, MAN!!!

I just worked on a 1018 yesterday. Of course all they use it for is copying and it has maybe 130k on it.

to be honest as a scanner that model works but that danm drum unit design with regards to the dev part was crap....from the 220 up
i still have a few out there and when they die i will place a mpc3001 or mpc3501.
