    aficio 2027 windows 10 scanning

    I believe I already know the answer but thought I'd double check. Customer upgraded to windows 10 and now cannot scan to folder with their Aficio 2027. I cannot find any custom/special firmware for this.
    Have I overlooked or is it time to upgrade the machine.

      It's BEEN time to upgrade!

      No SMB to Windows 10 for a 2027. You would have to go with FTP or scan to email.

          2027 uses PCMCIA memory card for updates. Machines using PCMCIA card program updating are too old to support SMB scanning.

              A great "go around" is a network storage like Go-Flex. You can scan to folder, back up computers , etc.

              These are quite inexpensive, even good used out there. $100 - $300 depending on size. Set these up, share the folders, easy

                      I actually have one of these out there yet. I have them running Irfanview and using the network twain scan. It does what they need. However they are updating it this month. It really is time to update.
                      I've proved mathematics wrong. 1 + 1 doesn't always equal 2.........

                          i use scan to pdf by o imaging and just download the twain utility.
                          it saved me many times as mynetwork background is limited
