    [Misc] Printing only one page with more one has entered from PC on Ricoh MPC5503

    Hi all
    One of my customer using the Ricoh MPC 5503 works great for everything.
    Except when she use odd size paper 7 X 12, she can only have one page come out as output no matter how many pages she entered from the PC.
    In that case she has to repeat the process 50 times to print 50 pages. What a pain.
    Regular paper size like letter , legal has no such problem
    Anyone has any idea to fix the bug.

      my first check would be the print driver, which one are they currently using?

      also, does the machine know there is 7x12 paper in it or does it beep and say load correct paper?

          Hi there!
          Try in the tech-mode PRINTER sp 1-001, bit-sw 5 bit 1 =1 /checksum 02H. That should solve the problem.

              If a paper size or type mismatch occurs during the printing of multiple copies, only a single copy is output by default. 
Using this bitsw, the device can be configured to print all copies even if a paper mismatch occurs.
              I had forgotten all about that, good call.

                  Wouldn't this be rather dangerous if the customer had letterhead, or, even worse, cheques, in one of the trays, as many of my customers do?
                  Nothing works quite so well that I can't totally disable it by trying to make it a little better.

                      I'd suggest that those trays would/should already be set to their respective paper types, so the machine won't feed from those trays unless specifically selected in the printer driver
