Have a customer with a MP5000 that only on the first copy job of the day. It's been a perpetual problem for quite a long time. I was hoping someone else has had a similar problem. It never jams when I'm there ,but they tell me that there is paper stopped in multiple areas. doesn't matter which cassette it pulls from.

For me morning jams on those machines has more often then not been the solenoid in the interchange unit (above the fuser) sticking.
More info would help, what jam location does the SMC show? -
