mpc6502 sc551

we have a mpc6502 that come up with sc551 thermopile error I cleaned then changed the p/r thermopile from a good fuser and it still came up with sc551 I then put a second hand fuser in the copier and it worked ok so it has to be the fuser not a board I would like to rebuild the now duff fuser and get it working but cant get over the sc551 fault the p/r and fuser belt are both not that has anyone had problems with this sc or am I looking at it wrong

Have you tried replacing the connector blocks on the rear of the fuser unit? I have known issues if there are bent or damaged pins, or if there are insufficient connections to the thermoplie.
