MP2852 Screetching from drum drive shaft.

I have a customer with a 2852 that makes a constant high pitched screetch anytime the drum is turned. Drum has about 25k copies on it. It's not the developer drive and the sound only happens when there is a PCU in the machine. I've tried oiling the back of the shaft to no effect.

I'm going to try a different PCDU in case the sound is coming from that but I don't think that's the case.

    Any suggestions?

Sounds like the drum and blade were not properly dusted prior to first use. The blade is now squealing against the drum. PM the PCU and properly powder new the drum and new blade with either lubricant powder or toner. If that does not correct the problem. replace the entire PCU.

There was toner and developer built up in pocket where the charge roller sits, the one without the contact. It had scored up the shaft of the roller. Cleaned it up and the noise went away.

Something I'm going to start doing every PM now.
