    Hi Paul
Not sure if you already know this but....
There is a quirk when updating the Katana firmware to the latest levels, this is effectivly updating to the new Pro series machine and if the firmware is not updated in the correct order the machine will lock up and you canot get into service mode.
The problem happens when you update the system before the engine.
The easiest way to recover is to take a system card (normally in slot 1) from a working machine and put it in your non working machine and then update the engine firmware. Then put the old card back in and update the system firmware.
The borrowed card will be ok back in its original machine.

Paul, does the print screen have the print jobs page open? I've got a customer that likes to leave that page open and then call and say they can't get in to any of the settings pages. If it's not try a reboot (which I'm sure you've done). Next I would update ALL of the firmware and not just the ones you've updated already. Lastly I'd try going back to the previous firmware.

Also, here's a TSB that might help.
the savin2535 is displaying well bet the hiter lamp is not shining and the lamp had been tested o.k.please kindly help.
Samir: No, not again. I... why does it say paper jam when there is no paper jam? I swear to God, one of these days, I just kick this piece of shit out the window.
Michael Bolton: You and me both, man. That thing is lucky I'm not armed.

On tessa now, theres a release dated Set 23 2008:

5.21:20 new I updated "5.20.20" Where this engine firmware is to be used, ensure other firmware versions are
          as below (or newer).
If firmware versions are not as indicated below, please update firmware.
          Engine : D1015223B (5.21:20)
          System/Copy : D1015541B (6.01)
          LCDC(NA) : B2345321C (2.01)
          (EU) : B2345322C (2.01)
          Interposer : B8355510B (02.050:32)
          Language : B2345329D (2.01)
          Animation : D1015544 (1.06)
NCS : D1015542A (5.73.1) only this one is not updated.
At least the "System/Copy" and the "Engine" should be updated at the same
          time as a combination.
(If these two firmware are not updated in the same timing, the Katana-C1
may not boot or work anymore.)

            Thanks Dave, Cobi.
I updated the rest of the firmware, only after the printer firmware was updated I could get into SP mode, strange though, but back in business.
Great help, at least it took the stress off me.
