Not easy error you must read Tehnical bulletin No.: RD197055
Possible causes include:
1. Failure of USB communication path (USB cable, IPU)
2. Data corruption of CTL onboard Flash memory
3. Poor supply voltage for CTL onboard ASIC
4. Firmware bug related to energy saving system
5. Defective CTL onboard converter
6. Defective CTL onboard resistors
7. FCU start-up error

Follow the flowchart from the Tehnical bulletin to determine cause and best course of action.
Parts needed:
- USB cable
- CTL board
- IPU board
- FCU board
- Operation panel

Without this parts you can only quess the cause, the usb cable usually is ok if the machine "birth" after 2014.
You have to choose between op panel and USB Board .
But the flowchart not say anything about usb board
Parts -------------How to determine the cause
USB cable --------Fuse 2 on the IPU
Operation Panel --Fuse 2 on the IPU
IPU ----------------Fuse 2 on the IPU
CTL ----------------LED1 on the CTL
FCU ----------------Jumper switch on FCU

Also you can check the usb cable with a multimeter.

Both times I have had a SC672-12 on this model it was the Control board. I have yet to have the USB to the control panel be the cause.
