[Jamming] AF2022 J001 copying only

hi all ,
basically i have this sales lead of a machine with a strange jamming problem.
it will only jam on copying. data prints fine ,logging ect
paper gets to the same position every time no matter what tray is used, just leaving the feed station
jam code 001 power on jam

no other jams or errors logged

any ideas

Are you sure that prints are defaulting to Tray One? I've had a few machines where the printer and fax have been defaulted to use a different tray. It made troubleshooting tray issues extra fun since I'd look for a problem I couldn't duplicate in every function.

yes mate i first proved that all trays were jamming in the same manor then done all other tests from tray one only

J001 during copying will occur when the machine thinks that a door has been opened and closed. This is usually occur when a door switch is going flaky. It probably occurs only in copying because during printing you normally do not have an operator leaning on the machine and introducing extra vibration.

Maybe check registration? If there isn't enough white border for it to grab on to and the color comes all the way to the edge of the paper that could be causing it to jam...just a thought. And it could be fine when printing because those are two separate registrations.

Size wheel on the drawer on the wrong size.
otherwise it is most likely giving a non feed jam due to al the normal reasons
feed tire bad, lift spring broken, end fence too tight, lift gear cracked

Neither of these would cause a J001 - Jam found at power on.

Due to the pressure on the op.panel while pressing the start key, it might be that something get's blocked.
Did this problem happens after a PM?

do you try to change the interchange unit?
