    Lanier security

Konica Minolta/Toshiba dealer here. We've got a customer who traded in some Lanier MP5002, MPC2003, and MPC3002, and we'd like to sell them to an equipment broker. However, we want to make sure none of our customer's information is still on the copiers. How do we wipe their information off of a Lanier? Thanks in advance.

safest way is to remove/replace hdds. you can reformat the current drives and there are some sp modes to erase address book and things like that.

also, the 2003 has DOSS on it, if its enabled, all you have to do is clear out user settings/address book, the hdd is already clean.

the other two may have doss as an option.

If there is a small drum shaped icon in the bottom right corner of the display screen, the machine has the Disk Overwrite Security System installed. If the icon is green, all copy and print data has been securely deleted. If there are entries in the document server, delete them and DOSS will then do the security erase. The only other thing you need to check is the address book. Delete all entries either through WIM or User Tools.
