    RICOH MP C5504SP - Fax features is not working

    Hi, cannot access the Fax Features, the following message appears on the screen "Remote machine registration is incorrect, contact the administrator".
    Noted that I've installed the Interface Unit Type M19, the Extended USB board Type M19, the Fax Unit Type M20, the Fax Memory unit Type M19 (64MB), the XPS Direct Print Type M19, the G3 interface Unit Type M20 and the Fax option Type M20.
    Please advice.

      I might be wrong, and if so I apologize, but it sounds like you may need to do some housekeeping in the user tools address book. That's where the remote machine registrations are at.

          Does one of the M20 units happen to be the Fax Connection Unit Type M20? If so, either the remote unit is not yet configured or not connected. See installation in the service manual for Fax Connection Unit Type M20.

              Apologies for the late reply.
              Indeed I forgot to switch on the battery jumper on the fax unit. Now the Fax option is working properly

                  HI. which switch on the battery jumper you make. can u please show. i have the same problem, i installed the fa option but not working or even showing on control panel. thanks in advance it will be a great help for me.

                      Re-check your installation buy the manual and it will show you the jumper also.
