    C5503 /w Fiery E-22C - Max print size

I have a customer attempting to print banner sizes from the bypass up to 48 inches long, as the machine allows. However, when setting document sizes through the Fiery print preferences the max custom size is only 23.6 in length. I have patched the Fiery up to date, but the max custom size is still limited to this. Am I missing something?

Change SP 5150-001 to 1. This changes the maximum length for the bypass from 600mm, 26.3 inches, to 1260 mm, 49.6 inches. Apparent the fiery picks this setting up from this setting. If you have access to TSRC there is a video nugget.

This is one of those fringe things that is mentioned in the training for the machine through Ricoh, but is otherwise rather obscure.

I found it in the video nugget on TSRC.

This was already set to 1. The Fiery is still limiting max length on the bypass to 600mm.

You may have to use the GW controller for this job and possibly tell the customer even though this machine has a Fiery, it is by no means a production machine and shouldn't be expected to work as such.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

              Hit it.

There is a video nugget "How to print banners on an E-22C Fiery" on TSRC that says to use the print driver for the E-22B fiery for a Pro C5100.

If you wish to use the GW Controller, use the PCL6 driver for the SP C831DN. This is from another video nugget, MP C5503 (D146 series) Banner Printing.

This discussion is entirely a necessary one. However, I've been instructed to restrain myself when speaking already on this account.

Installing the Pro C5100S E-22B Fiery drivers for PS fixed it as the video nugget stated.

I need your help on something concerning the long paper size.I have an mpc 7501 with an E-7200 fiery. When i enter 600mm long paper (which the driver lets me to) the display says: ''invalid paper size was specified.Press reset to continue''. Of course i have set the sp 5051 to 1 and all the patches to the fiery controller. If you have any idea what i am missing would you be kind enough to share it with me?

You are missing a clean machine, get rid of the toner spitting beast.

This thread is so old I don't even work on MFD's or printing equipment anymore.

                              That's pretty old.
