    Ricoh aficio charge roller change?

I don't normally work on ricohs, but, hopefully someone knows this answer. I replaced a drum kit on an aficio mp 2550, but the charge roller was different then the original one. I left it on and it seemed to work fine until they called a few days later to say a line appeared on the print. We tried looking for the correct one,but the part numbers and photos look like the one that didn't fit. (part # ad027018)
Was there a change or modification I don't know about ? Is there a part # for the old style roller or do I have to get something to make the new one fit ? By the way, the roller I have, the ends are to thick to fit.
We just happened to have an aficio mp3010 at the office that had the charge roller I needed. I put it in and it looked like it was printing o.k., but for how long? Thanks for any info.

AD027018 is the correct number as long as it's the original PCU from the factory.
If the PCU was replaced with a Type 1027 then that could explain why the parts won't fit.
Maybe the MP3010 also has the Type 1027 PCU installed?

Something like this must be what happened. Easy to check. The type 1027 PCR is held in place with an E-clip, and the other isn't

Thank you to those who have replied. I didn't know anything about a type 1027 PCU. I still wonder, though, is there another part number, or specification I need to use to get this particular roller ? Or do I need to order a different mount to fit the roller I have?

Earlier versions of this model used a consumable style PCU that was customer replaceable (1027 PCU), as opposed to the MP 2550's service component based PCU. Many techs have found that the older style unit will work in the later model machines as long as the developer initialisation is done manually. It's possible that the machine you're looking at has one of the supply style PCU's in it, which doesn't use the same parts as the rebuildable units of the newer models since it was made to be disposable or recycled back to Ricoh. It may also be possible that the machine has a third party charge roller in it that may not have an identical appearance.

I believe that G0523510 has been discontinued,
G0523510 was superseded by AD027014 and then superseded again by AD027018.
