Hi, all. I am attempting to reinstall a K development clutch on a mpc3300. First pic is of the hole it goes into, and the second pic is a closeup of the hole with the belt that goes onto the gear on the end of the shaft. I'm pretty sure I have this belt out of position since I put it back together and got no black image (I don't think the belt is driving the gear on the end of the clutch shaft). The problem is I cant see shit inside the gear pack. Can someone draw me a pic showing what else this belt goes around? The parts/service manual is useless in this case.

I remember .... 2 months ago same problem. The easiest way off only the shaft with gear and bearing monies ..... then the clutch. I wish you success -
Re: C3300 development clutch (I may be screwed)
You described the reassembly process I used. The question is, what does the belt wrap around inside the gear pack above and to the left of the clutch shaft? (You know, in the place you can't see) I sure could use one of those optic fiber video probes like you see on spy shows...NEVER ASSUME ANYTHINGComment

You are going to need to take the drive pack out and take it apart. Not all that bad to do. Looks way worse than it is. It's like going through the butt hole for eye surgery but I think you will spend more time trying to "get lucky" than to just take it all the way out and do it that way.Comment

I have pulled a drive unit before, and it was a long, frustrating process. In this case I just need to view whats behind the drive pack outer plate. I have ordered a borescope, should do the trick. Gotta love tech.NEVER ASSUME ANYTHINGComment

The borescope worked great, I got the belt back into position without pulling the drive pack. YEA! I was going to include a borescope pic of something cool, like the inside of my nose, but it was too gross to leave postedNEVER ASSUME ANYTHINGComment
