Ricoh Aficio 1015 / 1018 network print out fault.

Basically, I've recently fitted a print card to a 1018 and set up the IP address and subnet mask.

Usually when i've done this in the past, it prints a sheet with the network set up a minute or so after you exit the tools menu or when you first switch the machine on.

    This one doesn't!

Also, the 'network setup' is greyed out on a regular basis and you can't ping it and then for no reason, it becomes un-greyed and prints fine for a while, then grayed out again and stops printing again. Weird

Anyway, if anyone can make sense of this jargon, please reply even if to tell me how to get a network printout when first switched on.

    Thanks in advance....

It is possible to disable the configuration sheet printout on these machines. If you IP into the machine from a web browser you can change it there. Your machine may have been disabled and that's why it doesn't print out. As for the grayed out network settings, you may want to try reseating the print card and any memory that may be present. Also make sure the firmware is the latest and greatest, and that it is the correct card for the machine. If that doesn't help you may have a faulty card, which could also account for the lack of a settings printout if it hasn't been disabled.
Don't take that toner with me!

I posted this some time ago:
login via network browser enter your machines IP address, then login to the machine as administrator: user name "sysadm" and the password is "password" then on screen click on configure setup page, this will open your setup, uncheck but for your case, check the first box that is "Print Status Page on Startup" save changes and exit. turn off and back on the machine. thats is.
