Ricoh Aficio 2018 blinking op

good morning guys.

any ideas on what is the problem.. operational panel lights blinking and screen going blank on start up. and when copying?

im guessing about the copying system but dont know where to start. copying is functional both adf and flat bed but everytime they use it operational panel blinking like christmas light.

You could check the back of the op panel for dry solder joints and re solder them
if not you will need to replace the op panel

yep, done with that one. so i guess really need to change the op.

ooooh..... brain strain.... (scratching head).

From memory....

If it's the same model I'm thinking of, try the cooling fan on the power supply. I had one of these older model MFP's P/S fans spin slow causing similar problem you described. Out of frustration I swapped the cooling fan and the problem didn't reoccur.

Thanks neo, checked the fan of power supply. Seems good but will change it in a while then will see.

to no avail got the new power supply fan.. and installed it.. but still same problem, guess its really time to change the op.
