[Electrical] Ricoh MP C3002 power off mode

My Ricoh MP C3002 shuts off all power immediately the power switch is pressed to the "Off" position. This model is not supposed to turn off immediately - it should go automatically into a programmed 2 minute shutdown routine to allow the HDD to sort itself out before power is lost.
We have installed the latest engine firmware and looked at all the user and technician options - to no avail.
Could this be a hardware failure (like Controller or PSU) ?

There is a specific firmware that makes power management. "PowerSaving Sys" Did you check it?

If firmware doesn't help try replacing the power switch itself. I believe they are a two part switch. Hence the click after the machine is done shutting down.

I suggest replacing the shutdown board, this little board takes care of the shutdown process. It is located down by the PSU.
I don't have the parts catalog available right now but you should find the P/N in the electrical section, most likely, around the PSU.

It sounds to me that this is what causing the immediate power off with your machine. I've ran into a couple of xx02 machines that all had the same problem because of a defective shutdown board.

            M026 5194.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

            Hit it.
