Paper Jam in Fusing Exit 019 in MP4000 every Morning

    Hi !

I had encounter my Customer Copier Machine Ricoh MP4000 Paper Jam in Every Morning ONLY in 1 to 3 Paper.
Then after no Jam at all.

When i look at the History Code in SP Mode, it show Jam in Code 019 - Fusing Exit.

I had ask my customer the Paper likely Jam in which location, They said Jam just below the Fusing Unit.

I had also encounter their office did not close the Air-Conditioner for 24 Hours.

May i know guys experience with this problem ? Thank you and appreciate for the advice.

    Thank you.

Sounds like the old 'morning sickness' problem that the older 35/45 series machines suffered from. The problem is that the pads on the fuser solenoid have worn down and stick from not being used overnight. You'll need to take the ADF and scanner off the machine, clean the pads off using alcohol and then put everything back together.

It will most likely be exposed by rthonpm,But it can also be the fuser output sensor.Remove it, unplug it, and then reinstall.

If it only happens in the morning first thing and runs fine all day I would about bet the paper is curling and geting caught on the fingers, Late jam at exit sensor. This could be warm up time or humidity and moisture accumulating over night, there could be some condensation happening at warm up in the morning, make sure your vent filters are clean and you have clearance around the vents. Should be about 5" between the rear and wall and between any object and the plastic on either side, given room on the right and front to open doors/bypass/front trays. Check if they have a heat or air condition vent above or near the right side door of the machine, when they kick on the heat or air in the morning it changes the temperature blowing on the vent sides.

This all is info in case the sensor and or fuser isnt the cause, Usually a bad sensor would happen randomly throughout the day not as much at one specific time of the day. The changes i can think of at the morning time would be room temperature and the fusing unit warming up from sleep mode.
