Ricoh C9020 toner smears on half the page

Hey guys, I just did a buyout from my machine lease and of course we started having problems already. It's a Savin / Ricoh C9020.
I have two issues, so I'm hoping that they are somehow connected. The main problem is that the printing smudges on the bottom half of my pages. Black and color both. Just the pages rubbing together is enough to smear them. The second thing is that it seems to take longer to "warm up" and start printing that is used to. They supposedly put in a new Internediate Transfer unit in it a few months back. But the problems just started recently. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Between the smudges and longer warm up time, you may have a problem with the fuser.

Isn't there a fuser on each of the 4 color drums? Would all 4 go at once?

If you do not understand the color laser process, you should not be trying to work on one.

Well, sometimes a financial situation requires one to work on something new. Thanks though.
I did find where apparently on the fuser that somehow, most likely the girl in the office slamming the bypass door shut broke what my untrained self will call one of the actuator levers on the fuser. when I pieced it back together and got it to flip up, promlem is temporarily fixed.
          Thanks Mikadonovan
