MP2851 cust moved, now can't print on envelopes

Customer moved locations over the weekend and everything got set up fine, printing, scanning except now they can't print envelopes anymore.
Using Win7, tried removing printer and reinstalling, tried different drivers same problem.
Can go into printing preferences and select bypass and com 10 envelopes, but at the Ricoh it errors out and says Load A 4 paper.
any ideas?

Sounds like the machine thinks you have A4 paper loaded. Did you set the paper type and size at the machine or turn driver command on for paper input?

Didn't check paper size for bypass since no one would have changed it during the move but that sounds like a good place to start.
but why is the copier asking to "load a4 paper" if it is sees paper in the bypass and the computer shows "com 10 envelope"?

also where do I turn on driver command for paper input?

Try checking the physical condition of the bypass tray as well. The option to turn driver command on for printing is in the print options in the user tools menu.

Can you copy with the by pass on A4 or on envelope?
I think it is a sensor problem it doesn't "see" that there is paper.

That was one of my thoughts too. These machines hate being moved.

Have one in my office I got to experiment with and it looks like it came from the factory with bypass set to A4 also, and it gave me the same error "load A4 paper"
I set bypass to: auto detect
paper type bypass: no display
Bypass tray setting priority: driver/command
Then on the computer: printing preferences: one click presets: com10 envelope, portrait, bypass and it finally worked.
