Hey all,
Having a bit of an issue i have not seen before on a mpc2051, this machine got new nvram a month ago due to failure to update rom and stuck in a can't update but need to install sd card. After the nvram all was good for a month now 2 days ago its throwing sc 641, 670, and 998 in the sc log but operating. The only problem is when it shuts down for energy save or if you attempt to power off the green button it will become stuck in a shutdown state, the green light will flash forever and you can not wake the machine up by any method of lifting adf, opening doors, pushing buttons etc. At this point it also drops off the network and cant be printed to and you basically end up having to shut off the rocker switch and reboot. As long as it never goes to sleep it operates fine this is abnormal though.
I figured it was a controller so i had tried a new one of those first this didn't correct anything I also did a NCS clear, Fax clear, printer clear and reformatted the HDD to no effect. So seems like this might be a BiCU or IPU problem Anyone have any thoughts I kind of want to make sure im heading down the right path here.
Thanks
