I received a MP8001 with 500K total on the meter. This machine is spotless and in perfect shape! Copies are nice and solid with just a little background. I did both PM kits for fuser and PCU. Developer had only 17K according to PM count so I left it. Check all Temp settings for fuser even bumped up the temp by 5 deg and moved the fuser pressure spring to the tighter hole location. Still toner wiping off after only a few copies. Tried whole fuser from another machine with no change.
I'm posting this for all those who still believe it's "OK" to use generic supplies in these copiers. NOT! Replaced the developer and vac out the toner hopper with MILNER TONER in it and put in Genuine Ricoh toner and developer. Glad that's all I carry! Absolutely perfect after 1000 copies run! Generic supplies.....Don't do it!
