Ricoh MPC2051/Savin C9120 Vertical transport cover not making door button switch

Ricoh MPC2051(savin c9120) machine had broken vertical transport cover. I changed cover(D0392936) which fits perfectly but it does not engage white push button door switch. Is there something else, like a spring plate, missing . Please advise. Your help is appreciated. Frank/ActionPhotocopy

I have seen the black feed guide come out of the rear holder and not allow the switch to contact.

Thank you copyaction. I will look at that when I see customer. If the black guide comes out of the rear holder is the paper able to go thru and exit? I ask this because the machine is not jamming. Frank

the transport guide cover on most of those has an arm that sticks up and pushes the switch when the door is closed, if you close the guide flap you should see the arm hit the sensor push button if you do not see one it may be broke off, that is if the guide is correctly in place. The bottom doors on those dont like to close all the way, many a time i have showed up to a jam only to find when they closed the small door it was not clicked all the way shut on the rear side.

Thank you Counsel. I looked on inside of cover to see if there was something on it to press against switch but did not see anything. his was purchased used from Recycled Parts.

guide.jpgHere is a image of the guide i circled the spot where you can see there is a post that sticks up and triggers the switch if thats missing it wont hit the switch when the door is closed.

which was a use cover. Is the part #d0392936? I will check parts manual again. I don't
recall seeing that on first cover either(even broken). Frank

I think the cover you are showing is different cover. Evidently there is more than on cover referred to as vertical cover.
The cover I am talking is at the bottom of machine on right side. It is a small cover and if you look in parts manual (d104,D106)it will be listed under UOOO1 #58
The part # is D0392936. Frank

Thank you Copyaction. The cover i had to change was the external cover that presses against that arm that pushes the switch in. So as counsel says that arm is broken of of the internal vertical guide. As i am not that familiar with machine I was unaware of this. I will have to order that guide and cheat the switch until i change it. Frank

Thanks again Copyaction and Counsel. i went back to customer and also to another customer who has an MPC2551. That transport
cover is missing and i would need the spring as well that goes on the left side of cover.

Unfortunately i looked in the parts manual (D104/D1060) and I have not been able to find the cover and spring. i' not crazy about the way the parts manual displays the parts. I like to look in one whole area at a time and see all that is in that area with individual parts numbered and from diagram easy to see each part in position. Frank

Machine I was servicing was a Savin C9120 (ricoh MPC2051) so I looked in the MPC2051 parts catalog(D104/D106 and did not see part but it is in previous parts catalog mpc2050 (D37/D38?D41) and see vertical transport swivel plate #D0392927. Ian ordering but still did not see tension spring for this. Also,i am asuming the mylar sheet is on the guide plate or i will have to order that separately.Frank

The manual doesnt show the part very well the second feed guide is different then the first one because of that tab, the mylar is already attached to the guide plate. I dont remember there being a spring on it pretty sure it just pops in and flaps there.
