I'm having another MP 3352 Doc Feed Problem...Doesn't see originals, sometimes

This is the third time, all different machines, I've had issues with a 2852 / 3352 doc feeder.

This unit is not seeing the original, and it's so random.
With only 75K on it, seems too soon to have these issues.
It may go all day with no issues, then all of a sudden no original is seen.

I have been there when it happens though. I have cleaned all the sensors in the ADH.
Made sure the hanging flag the paper pushes out of the way is clean and working properly.
Opened the ramp (where the size sensors are) and cleaned the dust out.
Worked for a day and I get another service call about it.
Before I could get back to them they called and said never mind it's working again.

Is it possible the lower sensor back by the hinge is acting goofy?

I am starting to loose faith in these 2852 / 3352 off lease units I've been purchasing.

Try and cheat the door and flag the paper detect sensor.
Iv had a problem before where the little bracket the sensor sits on was bent slighty. Then adjust the bracket to allow the sensor flag on the feed section to make contact?
